Welcome to Karin's Book Nook (Wiki Style) where Young Adult Literature is our specialty. You'll be able to find book reviews and recommendations, suggest a book to read, and connect with other people who are interested in young adult literature. Please visit often to find out what's been added.

*ATTENTION WHITTIER STUDENTS* Below you will find links to the Online Databases you can use for school research projects. In addition, on the left sidebar you'll notice several other links that might be of interest to you. BOOK CLUB information for each grade level and a BOOK RELEASE CALENDAR for upcoming young adult literature are two you don't want to miss.

Also, don't forget to click on DISCUSSIONS at the top of the page. A discussion thread is designated to the most popular genres so please sign in and talk about your favorite books.

The most exciting thing I've added this year is the SUGGEST A BOOK link on the left. This link will take you to a form where you'll be asked to enter your First Name, a book title you think Whittier needs to buy or I need to read, and the author's name (if you know it). Once you submit the form, it automatically is sent to my Google Doc Spreadsheet and I receive an email notification to alert me of an addition that is made.

Finally, check out the VIDEOS section of the wiki to see some fantastic book trailers for books both already available and soon to be released.
